Published approach: The coordinate identifies the IFI Fenit Pier feature. Anglerfield has not field-checked parking, walking route, pier permissions or accessible edges. Follow harbour signage and keep all working access clear.

Treat the pin as a planning reference, not a guaranteed parking space, legal access point or exact casting position. Confirm signs and local restrictions on arrival.

Check current local reports; the regional IFI guide describes shore fishing from summer into winter · Varies between the inner viaduct and outer pier; seek current local advice

Fenit Pier is the first Tralee Bay pilot mark in Anglerfield’s Ireland expansion. Inland Fisheries Ireland’s national shore-mark record distinguishes an inner presentation around the viaduct from the outer and seaward parts of the pier. Its regional guide associates bottom fishing with dogfish, flatfish, rays, bass, whiting and conger, while the inside water is also used for light float presentations for mullet. These are source associations, not a promise that a species is present on a particular visit.

Treat the published pin as the named pier feature rather than a casting position. Begin by identifying which section is open, where other harbour users need room, and whether wind and tide make the exposed side unsuitable. A simple bottom rig and a restrained amount of tackle are easier to manage around a busy structure than a spread of unattended rods. Read the current bass and conservation rules before retaining anything, and return protected or unfamiliar species carefully.

This guide deliberately does not publish a parking pin, step-free route, edge assessment or claim of public fishing permission. Those details require a dated field check and a second review.
